     With over 40 years of collecting and appraising and a degree in teaching from Rhode Island College, his globally savvy knowledge is compelling.

     Tom doesn’t just appraise your antiques and collectibles. He gives you an education. It’s just like the TV appraisal shows...face to face! Whether mid-century or Middle Ages

Community

Lutheran Youth Organization (LYO)

Meets monthly, first and third Sundays.

6:00 — 8:00 PM.

 

For youth, grades 6-12.

 

Past activities include camping at Hammonassett State Park, the National Youth Gathering in San Antonio (2006), the Spring Fling at Camp Calumet, bowling, miniature gorl, lazer tag, Youth Sunday, car washes, bake sales, Card and Game Night, and much more.

 

Annually, we participate in the Souper Bowl of Caring by collecting cans of soup. In July, two high school students will attend the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans.

 

LYO members also participate in many aspects of church life such as ushering, singing in the choir, playing in the bell choir, leading the Sunday School in playing Chimes, property clean-up, and acolyting.

Friendly Folks Seniors Program at Grace

Meets monthly, 2nd Tuesday.

11:30 AM.

 

The friendly folks! 

 

Senior church members and friends, better known as The Friendly Folks, they gather once a month for lunch and discussions, usually  the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 11:30 AM. Come join in for a hot lunch, friendly chit chat and some fun.

Grace Childcare Center

 

Grace Childcare Center is licensed by the state of CT.

 

Founded in 1968 as a community service by Grace Lutheran Church, Grace Childcare Center continues to provide high quality, affordable, nonreligious preschool programs to the greater Stratford community.

Volunteer

Grace has a long history of providing many positive catalyst experiences to our community. Get involved with our Music Program, LYO Youth Group, Friendly Folks Seniors program, The Country Store, and Sunday School at Grace.

 

We collect food for the Sterling House Food Pantry and we assist at community suppers provided by        

St. Johns Church in Bridgeport.

The music program at Grace is an intergral part of our worship and community outreach.

 

The sanctuary is home to a beautiful Young Chang baby grand piano and an Ahlborn-Galanti electronic organ.

 

Special music all year includes guitar, brass, flutes, and percussion.

 

There are opportunities for both children and adults in the music program. There are opportunities for soloists to share their talent.

 

We make joyful noise to the Lord and service music on special Sundays.
